Barbara Potter joined Laird Norton Tyee in 1988 and is executive vice president and managing director of fiduciary services. With more than 30 years of experience in the trust and wealth management field, she oversees the firm’s fiduciary team and manages our largest trust relationships. She is frequently sought for her expertise and often writes about a variety of estate planning issues for Laird Norton Tyee’s ReGenU blog.

Prior to joining the firm, Barbara was assistant vice president and trust officer at U.S. Bank of Washington, where she was responsible for administering large accounts and business development. Previously she held the position of trust officer at Seattle Trust Bank.

Barbara earned a degree in finance from Seattle City University and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School. She is both a Certified Financial Planner® and a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor. Barbara serves on the boards of Family Law CASA and the Washington State Bar Foundation, and she is also a member of the executive committee of the Estate Planning Council of Seattle.
