As chief
executive officer of Laird Norton Tyee, Kaycee Krysty has a resume in
financial planning that reaches back to 1977. She seeks to enrich
lives by helping families grow and use their wealth to make a
difference where it matters most.
She was recognized six times by Worth magazine on its list of
the “Best Financial Advisors in the United States.” Locally, she was
honored in 2006 as one of the Puget Sound Business Journal’s
Women of Influence. Kaycee came to the firm following the merger of
Laird Norton Trust Company with Tyee Asset Strategies, a wealth
management company that she co-founded in 1995 after leaving the
regional accounting firm Moss Adams. At Moss Adams, she was a partner
and oversaw personal financial planning firm-wide.
As a CPA and Certified Financial Planner, Kaycee has long had a
commitment to teaching and service. She is co-author of the book
Stop Fighting About Money and Start Making It Work for You, a
financial workbook for couples. In addition, Kaycee has developed a
corporate training seminar titled How to Retire Rich. She is
currently researching a book on the meaning of wealth in the second
half of life.
Kaycee is active in the community as a board member for YWCA and the
Washington Women’s Foundation. She was a founding board member of
Washington Women in Tax, and a past board member of Seattle/King
County Humane Society where she is still active as a volunteer. She
also is the former chair of the AICPA Personal Financial Planning
Division and a founding member of the WSCPA Personal Financial
Planning Committee.
A native of Olympia, Washington, Kaycee
earned a degree in humanities from Colorado College. Away from the
office, she enjoys walking the beach with her husband Michael and
their three poodles.
