Thought Forum™ workshops and presentations bring important
voices, interesting ideas and new perspectives to help you develop and fulfill
your personal goals.
Past events have addressed wide ranging subjects from market
trends and the current economic environment and outlook to the psychology of
wealth.
This fall, we brought Lucy
Bernholz to Seattle to discuss the future of philanthropy and ideas on how
to keep good causes alive in a bad economy. Past events have featured our own
experts like when managing directors Kristi Mathisen and Barbara Potter
discussed effective estate planning techniques in a low-interest rate
environment. Other topics have included "How Much Is Enough?" "Healthy Aging,"
and "The Secret Mission of Baby Boomers."
Hands on Approach
We also know the value of educational workshops or classes for applied learning
and we collectively call these programs ReGENU. These workshops cover topics
dealing with philanthropy and kids and money as well as various other family
issues such as intergenerational communication and family governance. We brought
Tracy Gary to town to discuss Inspired Philanthropy and partnered with
The Seattle Foundation to bring Nathan Dungan to town. He worked with three
generations of families to facilitate discussions about Money and Values.
Often ReGENU classes and workshops are just for the next generation like our
upcoming event Finance and Philanthropy 101.
